So, my company sells ribbons for thermal transfer printers.
A vendor of ours told us about 3 months ago that 13 of our ribbons are changing because they can no longer reliably create the binder resin.
Each batch of testing for each ribbon takes about 3 days.
Today I started the testing to compare one of our ribbons to their new ‘proposed’ ribbon. The results are so wildly different in all aspects that they wouldn’t be accepted by anyone in any universe. Now I’m anticipating these results for all 13 ribbons, which means multiple iterations of every test… On every ribbon… Resulting in lots of time wasted as well as lots of other projects being put to the side… Resulting in a lot of harassing phone calls by people wondering why their testing isn’t done.
This is going to be a long few months. Yay.
